  This place was great. Hands down one of, if not the best place in the Derby / Shelton area to eat. We ordered a wide variety of their different menu items and everyone single one of them was fantastic. Not a single thing that I thought was just average. On top of everything the restaurant is super cool on the inside with massive windows looking outside over the river.
  
  If people weren't so sensitive about one of the menu options being called "build the wall!" This place would have a much better review average. I never got the feeling any of the employees there were racist or hateful in any way whatsoever.

  Went here with my family. The food they got was subpar. I ordered a dish that says it only comes with meat as a add on, and I specifically ordered it vegetarian, which the waitress acknowledged. Food came and I ate a few bites then realized it had tiny bits of meet all throughout. Told the staff and they said "so sorry" and didn't offer anything. Waitress finally said she'd take the dish off the bill. Gave us the bill and said she took 20% off. That came out to only 50% of my dish. Not the waitress' fault the kitchen messed up, but how it was handled (I'm going to put the blame on who I believe was the waitress' manager) was disappointing. Won't be going back there.

  River Rock is your average bar with some decent food, but really good drinks. Drinks are poured nice and strong so you definitely get your money's worth for mixed drinks. During the week, it's a pretty decent clientele with mostly working type people and a cool atmosphere. Some karaoke and trivia happens during the week as well. Food is pretty good, nothing really to write home about, and it's acceptable for bar food.
  On the weekends, this place gets pretty shady with not so savory people there and wouldn't recommend. Overall pretty average and would never come here just for the food.

  Would not recommend this place to anyone. Happy hour menu states "All draft beers $4" on their happy hour menu. Check comes around and $8 for a draft beer. We told our waitress who talked to the manager who said happy hour is only domestic. Obviously not what is advertised, also then told that happy hour is only at the bar even tho we asked before hand if we could sit outside/ in the dining room where we were told it was ok. Our waitress then comes over and says that the manger says it's all ok because the "customer is always right" pretty condescending. Awful awful awful.

  Went to River Rock on a Friday night. They are an easy on/off Route 8 (Literally right off highway). The inside is beautiful and the ambience was good. The inside is shaped like an L. On one side the restaurant there is the bar area and the other side offers ample dining or spill over bar seating. The decor is very cool and they have several TV's spread throughout the bar with News or Sports (whichever you prefer). Met one of the owners. Great guy. Didnt eat the food but I was there with people who did and they enjoyed it. They had Chicken Marsala. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
  
  If you feel like getting some fresh air, they have outdoor seating as well so this place is perfect for a destination during the Spring and Summer months. Will definitely be coming back.
